Hope everyone had a great holiday! I'm curious this afternoon. If you had to put a brand on 2013, what would it be?
2012 seemed like the year of the group break to me. TOPPS apathy still runs high but last year it seemed that there were so many opportunities to get in non TOPPS group breaks. I miss the breaks. I may give it a run at running some in 2014.
But back to this year. If you had to say that this was the year of _________? What would you say?
I feel like it has been the year of me sucking at getting packages shipped on a personal level. Still have so many to get out.
My apathy in getting to the post office this year leads into what I think this year has been greatly about- The PWE.
So simple. So easy. So rewarding. I think many folks out there have embraced the ability to just drop some unwanted goodness in the mail to someone who could enjoy it!
So what's your call? What was 2013 the year of????????
I'm going to go with... The Year of the Set Building Projects for me. I started building a bunch of sets and surprised myself by even completing a few.ReplyDelete
Have a safe holiday season buddy!
I am going with The Year of the Setback. I had quite a few this year, but it leaves the door open for 2014 to be The Year of the Comeback.ReplyDelete
Seasons Greetings to you as well.
Year of Organization and the PWE for me. My card closet has been receiving a makeover for the last 6+ months and during that time I've come across many cards that I have either dumped into a PWE or are waiting to be sent out.ReplyDelete
This has been a year of a lot of things, but I'd say it was The Year of the Garage Sale for me. I found so much good stuff at local garage sales in 2013, including a '67 Mickey Mantle.ReplyDelete
The Year of Awesome Cards! Had a ton of sweet additions and awesome trades this year, looking forward to the next year of collecting!ReplyDelete
Definitely Year of PWE for me. Great way for me to get rid of cards that don't fit my collection. Honorable mention would be year of collecting for someone else. I find myself opening packs or searching at card shows, seeing something and going "Oh, this is good for so-and-so".ReplyDelete
Year of the "Blogging again" for me. I tried to make a conscious effort to resurrect the blog from the near dead, and while I wish I posted more, I certainly have posted much more in 2013 than in 2012. Actually, my numbers are pretty even, but I didn't blog for about the last six months of 2012.ReplyDelete
Year of the Blog. I've been collecting for over thirty years, and this was the first year that I "admitted" it to anybody. And it's been very rewarding.ReplyDelete
