A shiny red beauty from Uncle Tiny

Just discovered this gem that was sent to me via Uncle Tiny(Thanks bro) but I never got opened until now:

Also recently I picked up 4 more copies of Hartselle Homeboy Steve Woodard's signature picks

Stay tuned as the Willinghammer, Woodard, and Wilks pursuit continues here on Willinghammer Rising

A new era begins- Welcome to Willinghammer Rising!

Today is the first day in the rebirthing of the jaybarkerfan's junk blog as WILLINGHAMMER RISING!  Here I will be sharing my acquisition of all of the Josh Willingham cards that I can get.  #allofthem

Today I want to share some cards sent to me from my friend Brian who is the author of Highly Subjective and Completely Arbitrary.  He was nice enough to send me some Bammers(still recovering from that game), some Reduses, and most importantly some Willinghammers.

A very nice selection of Hammers including a couple of Topps Colored Border Parallels and a Gypsy Paper Variation

A beautiful IP auto.  Wonder if Brian TTM'ed this one

A true beauty of gold majesticness

Piedmont Penmanship at its finest

Brian thank you for sending these my way.  A great way to kick off things here at Willinghammer Rising!

The journey that will be 2017

The blogging world is alive with recaps of last year and goals for 2017.  I have decided there will be some changes in my sphere as well.  Beginning now my collecting energy will be fully directed towards my Josh Willingham collection.  The only exception will be Mike Wilks jersey cards from ud hardcourt and Steve Woodard autos from draft signature.  There may be a blog name change to reflect my full steam ahead new direction and new content will center on these conquests.  I will be doing a great deal of unloading on eBay next week to thin my horde.  Also i will be sending lots of cards to two gentleman who i know can help get them to folks on here who will really enjoy them. Mr bwtp and Scc.  Consider them executors of my cardboard estate.  I am confident this thinning of my collection and renewed direction will be a breath of fresh air into my zest for collecting.  I will still be around and checking everyone out even if im not posting.  Wishing you all a happy and safe 2017!

War comes to an end

Hope everyone is having a safe and happy warm holidays!  I received so many nice things from my blogging friends and family.  While I would like to take weeks to show off all the goods unfortunately I don't have the extra time these days.

I did however want to take the opportunity to tip the hat to my arch enemy Mr. Bob Walk the Plank for a great war.  He came in with a flurry at the end and thankfully I withstood his advances...wasn't easy.  My final blow arrived at Bob Walk HQ the day that I received this surprise:

A very odd shaped mailer.  I've used these size before....Oh man

Soon after I realized I had been sneak attached and one of my closest allies The Lost Collector had switched sides!!! But this twist of fate landed me a collection cornerstone!  A GAME USED WILLINGHAMER bat!!!

Matthew then followed up his surrender with a parting gift-the most high end Willingham package I've ever received.

Matthew and AJ- I can't thank you enough brothers.  This was a tremendous haul that just blew me a way.  No matter what way my collecting turns I will never be letting go of my Willingham collection and these will always be treasured.

Will I war again?
Maybe
Have I identified a potential opponent?
Perhaps
Will my collecting take any surprising turns in 2017?
Yes

All will be revealed in due time my friends.  Until then I wish for nothing by health and happiness for you all in the new year!
