Still plenty of time to join the World Cup of Trading-Your last chance to trade with me

Please feel free to visit my post from yesterday and jump in the World Cup of Trading-so much good stuff still unclaimed.

After much contemplation this will be my last major blowout event on the blog.  As a matter of fact, I'm hanging up my guns as an active trader.  Too much overhead, time, cost, etc to do it the way I really like to do it.  Adulting has really been showing up on my plate lately and it sucks lol.  Not saying I'm not going to post anymore, also not saying that some of you may still someday receive a surprise from me but I am saying accumulating for the sake of hitting people with crazy trade monsters is over.

After the WCOT is over I will be finding a way to wrap up the yearlong Willinghammer contest I was running and get the cards distributed amongst those that helped me out with that quest this year.  I know I've stepped aside and backwards before and usually said never say never but this time I think the lions share of the work is done here.  It feels like time to rest and just occasionally show off a mailday.

But that's why I wanted to make this WCOT so great as hopefully one last great gift to the blogs and all my friends.  So if you haven't yet go back one day and see if anything looks interesting to you!

  3. Sorry to hear that. It's been a great time trading with you these last couple of years. It's also been fun sending amd receiving mystery mail days between us.

Your legend always lives on and it doesn't mean if I find something that screams Wes that you won't be getting it.

Take care buddy and we all understand adultering. Not fun lol

  5. My brother, I don't like this announcement. Not because of the trading, but just because it might mean less contact between you and me and all the community.
It doesn't matter if you stop trading, because I'm not going to stop sending. That's just the way it's going to be with us.
    Peace!

  8. You have always been the most insanely generous blogger around. You totally deserve a break. I had to stop trading a two or three years ago. Just couldn't keep up with managing trade lists, making time to package up stuff, and go to the post office. I was seriously stressing out over all of it. I've had to take a step back. I still enjoy sending and receiving care packages. However... I try to make it very clear to people that it might take months for me to actually accumulate stuff to send to you.

P.S. I have a few cards for you that I've set aside. No clue when I'll get around to build the care package, but one day you'll be receiving some stuff from the Bay Area.

  9. Your generosity is legendary. Your kindness is even greater. Hopefully, you will be able to enjoy your collecting again and have fun despite adulting getting the way of being the grown kid that all of us are.
