Highspots wrestling subscription box

It's time to review box 2 of 4 of the wrestling subscriptions I discovered for this past month.  This one came courtesy of Highspots...Let's see what lurks inside
This wrestlecon shirt was a throw in.  Pretty neat for an around the house shirt.
Don't know this lady but she is pretty cool and she autographed this 8x10
3 DVD's from the High Spot Stash.  Indy's haven't really been my thing but I plan to watch all of these
A 2009 WWE Metal Pendant Necklace.  Is this Kofi??
 A luchador sticker!
This shirt saved it for me!  Coal Miners Glove Match. Spin the Wheel Make the Deal

Professionalism-4 Stars
No information card that I saw, well packaged though

Value-4 Stars
At $46.74 I feel like the shirt saved it for me

Cool Factor-3.5 Stars
I think maybe this one just didn't hit the chord with me.  The DVDS are ok.  I was hoping to get a shoot interview or 2.  The auto is of someone I'm not familiar with but I'll definitely give Highspots another try.

A Breakdown of Epic Proportions

Let's get this out of the way right off the jump.  I am about the 1000th guy to praise Gavin from Baseball Card Breakdown for his artistry and amazing custom work.  Out of selfishness I asked Gavin if he would consider taking on a project for me and he was kind enough to help me out.  I'm not of his process but here is an idea of what I asked for-I was hoping that Gavin could create a Jay Barker Custom but not just any.  This custom would fill in a blank on the Jay Barker cardboard anthology.  I was asking for Gavin to customize a couple of cards to memorialize Jay's less than memorable XFL tour.  Surely you remember the circus that was the XFL.  Well Gavin took my request and just went miles above and beyond.

First of all, Gavin surprised me with these 3 awesome Willinghammer Royals Customs!!!!! Someone get me a drool towel. You are right on the money my friend-Josh did need more Royals cardboard!

Now to the epicness-Gavin nailed the basecard custom
 Both front and back!!

The autograph card came out great and he sent it Jay to get it signed!!!  A top treasured item is now in the PC.  I'm not sure how Gavin phrased his auto request to Jay. Maybe........  "Hey Mr. Barker-this shadowy blogosphere figure desires your autograph...you better comply or he is going to bip you with Gary Redus cards!"
He missed the Auto spot but I don't even care!
 Simply gorgeous
Gavin-You are a legend in my book sir!  I can't begin to tell you how impressed and geeked I was for these.  You are the man.  Can't say Thank you enough bud!  I have these letters that I've been meaning to mail to ya and I'll have them out this week.

Picking up an All Time Wantlist Item

As NWA fan fest in Charlotte draws closer and I prepare to have my coolest wrestling experience ever I must share this bucket list item that I picked up recently.  I remember when I first learned that there were WCW Galoob figures that were issued in Great Britain but not in the states. Back then as a kid I could only look at pictures in a magazine and never dreamed I would have a chance to own any of them.  I really wanted two particular ones-The Fabulous Freebirds!  Fast forward to 2016
 Michael PS Hayes
 Jimmy Jam Garvin

Now thanks to ebay and a great seller from the UK I can take a trip to Badstreet whenever I desire!

Steve Woodard has a nice signature

There are 7750(purportedly) copies of this Steve Woodard 1994 Signature Rookies Autograph Card.  This is what 25 of them look like.  This is from a recent COMC, Ebay, Beckett, Sportlots collaboration.  I will continue my pursuit of this card

Uncle Tiny sends me hot chicks

Many times I have shared the goodies here that my cardboard Uncle- Uncle Tiny has sent my way.  I recently mentioned that I was creating a modest Benchwarmers PC and shortly thereafter I had these gorgeous female cards in my mailbox.

Ms. Hefner is numbered a delicious 1/25 and Ms. Mitcheson is a delightful 19/20
The gem here is this autographed beauty.  Ms. Nikki Leigh is an exclusive auto from the 2013 National and is numbered 16/25.

Thanks to Uncle Tiny for these Super Hot Cards!  If you have Benchwarmers laying around that need a good home well I'm a good home.  Have a great day!

I got loot!

I am definitely a wrestling fan and I'm definitely a subscription whore.  When I heard there were four different wrestling subscription services out there I decided I would give each a try.  The first to arrive was from www.prowrestlingloot.com

This was the run down of the loot!  I really like it when there is some kind of information that I can look to if I have any question about what a particular item was or what not.
So Cal Pro Wrestling is about as far away from me as any federation can be but I will be checking it out!
Also received this double signed 8x10 from the combatants of the DVD Main Event.  Super Sweet and not promised in the goodies-BONUS!
Now this is super cool.  All the way from 1991 comes this swaggy Bushwhackers Pin!
Oh my, a card, of the Hot Rod!
 How neat is that?
A tribute for the Warrior. RIP
Now I can get all the dirt on WCW.  I always thought I could book better cards than those fools
Hayabusa!  Gave his all to the wrestling game.  I wasn't all that familiar since almost of all of his work was in FMW. RIP
Finally is this 8x10 that I will definitely add to my wall of fame!  A former WCW World Heavyweight Champion
I was very impressed with my first load of Pro Wrestling Loot and I will be checking them out a second month at least.  Of course there are differences in pricing and content among all these subscriptions but I'm curious how well the other three will stack up!

Professionalism-5 Stars
It was branded, well packaged, and had an information card
Value-5 Stars
At $26.49 I feel like I got my moneys worth
Cool Factor-
Great variety in this first shipment.  I liked it a lot!

Getting Biebered and Joshed

Let me take a moment to thank my friend Kevin from the Card Papoy who recently sent me an international packet which knocked my socks off!
All packages from Kevin come with the calling card of Mr. Bieber
Kevin gets it going with some Bringer of Rain!
Holy Blue Ink Batman!  Dangggg what a beaut
It's Willinghammer time!  That Mini is #'d out of 199!
This is the showstopper kids!  Out of 50-Josh and some other guys!

I thank you so much Kevin for this very nice surprise and add to my collection!

Contest Alert----------HERE----------Contest Alert

It's been a while since I ran a good old contest here at the jbf headquarters.  The prize in this will be a box of basketball cards which were in my PC as keepers but I have decided to let go.  Lots of variety and I think someone will be very tickled to win this lot of hoopsters.  If you are interested just leave a comment and I will pick a winner via randomizer on Tuesday night.  So lets say deadline to this one is 5PM Tuesday and I will try to have a winner up by Tuesday night late.

The search continues...

I have to get caught up on some majorly overdue posts in the next week or so.  But for tonight, my pursuit of the full run of Mike Wilks SP Hardcourt Relics continues.  I believe this is #15 if you count patches.  They aren't coming up very often and I'm often having to fight to get them.  But when they show up I get them

If you see one in the wild please snap on it and I will make sure we work out a deal!  Also I am now compulsively chasing copies of this Steve Woodard auto as well if you run across one
