Looking for Super Traders

It's occurred to me from time to time that I can't trade with everyone in the blogosphere.  As much as I'd like to it's just too big a chore-believe me I've tried.  This has often led to me getting burned out along the way.

I'd love to have a dedicated trader for each team.  This something I'm lucky enough to have for a couple of teams and for a couple of teams I have multiple trading partners.  What I'm looking to do with collecting and trading is find a dedicated source to send cards for each team and additionally trade with fellow Braves collectors for those cards I'd like to share.

Honestly for this experiment I would like to engage with really active traders!  I plan to incorporate box breaking in on my end and maybe some of the heavy hitters will do the same.  I'm awaiting a VERY NICE box from DA Card World from which I will just give away the non Braves cards that are in the break(which I'm going to video).

This doesn't mean I won't send cards at random to folks not on my core list just that I'm looking to solidify the network of my core trade partners.  There is no obligation asked from anyone else other than they are willing to trade unwanted cards to fellow team traders(which a lot of us do already).

So if you're interested leave me a comment or shoot me an email at lifebythedrop79 at yahoo dot com
and we will chat a bit.  Leaving a comment doesn't guarantee you a spot on my list.  I will be considering overall reputation within the community and past dealings when there are multiple team requesters.  Some teams are already spoken for unless the guys don't want to be on my radar-Bob Walk(Pirates), Tony L(Brewers), Tom O(Cubs), AJ(Yankees), and Adam Sanders(Reds).

Hope some folks are down to step up their trading game and join my circle!

  1. I have some stuff I need to send you but I guess I'm still going off your pre christmas focus of graded desert shield cards. I have been trying to expand my trade base as well, any marlins, athletics or nationals collectors you find let me know.

    1. Wes you know I can dump some serious volume of Braves cards on you, of course the majority would be base... right Jeff?

    2. I have departed from the Desert Shield graded stuff. Too rich for my blood. I have lots of Braves stuff for you and John!

  2. While I would love to be considered for the Red Sox, I dont know if I am in the same league as some of the big dogs. It would be wonderful to be remembered if any Fisks showed up.

    1. Heck, no one is in the same league as JBF, BWTP, and Off Hiatus. They are in a different stratosphere.
BUT, don't let that deter you from being part of this network. Their generosity may know no bounds, but that doesn't mean that those with shallower pockets (like myself) aren't appreciated.

I'm honored to be mentioned and would look forward to be a part of this group. AND, I can't wait to find a place to send some of those tough to get rid of teams.

Plus, I've always dreamed of opening mid-range to higher end product and NOT being stuck with all the cards that don't fit in my collection.

    3. Any Fisks will be set aside for you on my end from any of my breaks this year!

    4. I'm just honored to be mentioned in the same breath as JBF and BWTP here! I'm happy to be involved, and if anyone has any needs from the late 1980s or early 1990s, well, thanks to that Christmas Haul I know have thousands of those!

  3. Follow up. Once I get caught up with the "cards" I have stacked or boxed up (flat rates), I'd really like to rid myself of the 50,000 or so cards in my trade boxes that I didn't dump[ at years end. Although, I know Braves are your thing, I might play along with this game (better game than war). After all, what will you do with your Braves dupes. :)

  4. It sounds like a really cool group, but I think this arrangement is meant for higher rollers than myself. It'll be fun to read the trade posts when this gets rolling.

  7. I'd love to make the cut. Since the Yankees are already spoken for, I'd be down with taking the Rays. Nobody really wants them anyway! Let me know what you think.

  13. I'd like a shot at super-trader status. Let's go with the Mariners! I won't let your down, JBF.

  14. I'm not sure I could live up to the caliber of sending enough Braves and Willinghams (I'm also a Josh Willingham collector.)
I'm primarily a Nationals fan (Yeah I know you Braves fans wish Bryce Harper would go to Hell or the Yankees), but I also collect the Orioles since they are also a "local" team to me. Weird I live in MD nearer to DC than Baltimore so Washington teams have been more my "Homie" team than Baltimore teams, but I tend to collect them both.

  15. This is something I would've loved to participate in, but shipping is just too much of a burden (plus it looks like the BLue Jays are already spoken for). I'll be watching from afar and still hope to be able to send cards to you from time to time !
