Got three more packages today in for the WCOT.  I must tell you the fire is hot hot hot.

World Cup of Trading Entrant 1 Corky

Time for the world cup of trading to take flight!  I mailed the first three packages today to 86314, 13440, and 13669.  Over the next couple of weeks I should have them all out.  But its now time to start show the entries as they arrive.

Entry 1 arrived courtesy of Corky from the Pack War blog.  Corky opted to trade for two cards and a figure.  Here are the items he selected:

 This one is a stunner.  I love the unique relics and this one certainly met the challenge.

 I got with Corky about these sketches before the WCOT.  The above sketch was inspired by the dirty group breaker that got caught swapping out a big hit for a Brandin Cooks card.  I love how this one turned out!

Last but certainly not least is this unique masterpiece.  I adopted the persona of the Count of Montefusco on Top Shelf Breaks so this one seemed perfect for Shawn to bring to life.  The count meets the count. SHAWN KILLED IT!

World Cup of Trading-----The Match Beyond

Well my friends the time to make World Cup of Trading claims has passed but now for those that staked a claim and want to trade we are entering the Match Beyond. 

I have updated the original WCOT post and removed the items that I've decided to keep.  Now for FOUR days those that are already in the game may claim 5 more cards.  No need to try to cover them in our trade just consider them my gift to you.  Theres still some good stuff in there too.  So until Wednesday night at 9pm central you have the second chance to claim some more if you were already in the fun.  Just remember only five additional cards for each trader.

After much contemplation this will be my last major blowout event on the blog.  As a matter of fact, I'm hanging up my guns as an active trader.  Too much overhead, time, cost, etc to do it the way I really like to do it.  Adulting has really been showing up on my plate lately and it sucks lol.  Not saying I'm not going to post anymore, also not saying that some of you may still someday receive a surprise from me but I am saying accumulating for the sake of hitting people with crazy trade monsters is over.


After the WCOT is over I will be finding a way to wrap up the yearlong Willinghammer contest I was running and get the cards distributed amongst those that helped me out with that quest this year.  I know I've stepped aside and backwards before and usually said never say never but this time I think the lions share of the work is done here.  It feels like time to rest and just occasionally show off a mailday.


But that's why I wanted to make this WCOT so great as hopefully one last great gift to the blogs and all my friends.  So if you haven't yet go back one day and see if anything looks interesting to you!
