NBA and NFL Collectors-Line forms here

I'm going to be getting rid of most of my football and basketball stuff.  I don't have a ton of either nowadays but they are kind of in way when it comes to sorting.  Let me know your team and I will try to hook you up with something in the coming months.

Uncle Tiny and The Lost Collector sneak attack me!

Well, it wasn't exactly a sneak attack.  I knew something special was coming via Texas from Uncle Tiny that was also a collaboration with AJ from the Lost Collector.  It was pretty special.
A goliath!  Lee Smith has always been one of my favorites.  Uncle Tiny used this information.
Even #walletcard Jay came out to see the new housemate!
Jay approves!  Guys I really appreciate this.  I will be getting it framed up very very soon.  This is really cool!

Another swap with Leiber88 from CCW

I've made a few deposits in the mailbox of the fellow CCW'er Leiber88.  He was kind enough to take a swing at many of my pc's this week.

Brandon starts it out with a couple of Braves
He transitions with a couple of Alabama Alumni
Did he know that somehow Karsay wasn't in my Braves Binder?
Moving right along to the Arizona Cardinals segment of this post, first the #'d
 Then the GU
Brandon knows I dabble in Expos
This is the stud of this particular package.  Cardinal-Check, Auto-Check, Oddball-Check, Great Name-Check

Love the Case and it's another card going in the auto binder.  Doesn't seem like that long ago if I went on a long trip I had to secure a phone card to call home.  I'm getting old!

Thanks for the package Brandon. I will hit you up again very soon!

The War with Walk Begins

It's good to be back in the swing of things here on the blog.  It also feels good to know that I'm staring down the nose of a war with the "GREAT SCOTT".  Matt from the superb Bob Walk the Plank has agreed we will be swapping cardboard all year long and I'm game.  You win this round Bob Walk.

Matt starts out with a couple of lovely Bravo Hurler Relics
Love that Furcal bat and like many others I'm a sucker for Masterpieces
Rafa is nice but I can't help but gush over the Christmas #'d Chippa
I'm really concerned for Josh Willingham
I believe he has been abducted by Bob Walk and is being forced to sign autos for me
 Stunning Willinghammers
Matt didn't stop with my normal PC's.  He is jumping in the fray with my 2015 Autograph Hording Project
I am going to love the randomness and variety of this endeavor

 My first Cracker Jack Auto
And my first Gallery Auto to boot.

My sincere appreciation for this package Matt.  Looking forward to a great battle.

A Christmas Gift from Brads55

Brad has been a trading buddy for a long time.  He's a solid dude.  We had talked about exchanging some cards for Christmas and he dropped the hammer on me this past week.  He dropped Expos, Braves, Mavericks, Cardinals, a mascot, and more onto my plate.  Here are just a few of the goodies he sent my way.
The vintage is delicious.  I wonder how big a package I could mail with a Manny Mota stamp?
It makes me sad that Fitz is probably going somewhere else next season but who could blame him.  So many years of great service. A+ Player, A+Guy
This looks like Simmons is coming to get me.  What a great piece of Cardinals History!
This may have been the gem of the group. It's one of the box score relicy things of the new HOF'er Big Unit.  I LOVE this card!  His first game was against the Pirates.  The Box Score lists Gary Redus as having an error.  That must have been a mistake!

Brad-Thanks to you buddy for a great package of goodies!

Welcome to the autograph hording portion of the show

In my first post back, I alluded to the fact that I was going to be pursuing a more autograph centric collection this year.  Some asked what I meant by that.  It's nothing too fancy really.  I'm just going to start an autograph pc and see how fat I can get that binder this year.  I'll be looking for any team or any player in this quest.  No elaborate contest or anything to drive this.  I will just be willing to trade for autos in bulk this year.  So if you have some laying around that you don't have a use for then I might be your guy.  I will track how the binder grows and who has contributed on the left side of the page.  I thought this afternoon I might display one of the newer cards for the autograph binder.  It was a redemption that I've been waiting on since mid September.

Not a bad start to add Lebron's running buddy to the binder.  Let the additions begin!  Hope you all enjoy Championship Sunday!

Wallet Card Entry

Baseball Card Breakdown really has inspired the hottest idea in a while with WALLET CARD 2015.

It seems like it will be a lot of fun and I'm always down for that!  So let's meet my running buddy for this coming year.  You hardcore readers of the blog may expect a Willinghammer, Redus, or a Mascot card but no, no, no.  We are going old school for this one--all the way back to the blog's namesake.

But first my wallet:

My wallet card + the insertion into the wallet:

LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL!!!

Glad to be back!

Greetings and salutations!

It is clear to me now how much I enjoyed the blogging since I have truly missed it while stepping away for a bit.  Personally, I just need to not overcommit here on the blog as far as staging elaborate contests or the like.  I'll be looking to just keep it light, give thanks to those that swap with me, and blog when I can.

There are a couple of reasons that also drove me to come back:

-I've decided to really get after pursuing an autograph heavy collection.  I'm sure everyone has some autos laying around that they can part with so should be plenty of opportunities to trade.

-Wallet Card!  A truly brilliant concept!  I can't wait to participate

-There were quite a few well wishes and the kind words were much appreciated.  Hope to provide some quality reads in the coming year.

See you soon with my Wallet Card Entry

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
